Message: We were friends in elementary school and through our high school years. I have fond memories of Richie at his home in West Hartford or mine in Hartford. We exchanged emails over the years and as recently as last year. I think of him often and always smile. Rest In Peace, friend. Dave Kravet

Message: I wish to express my condolences to the Mackler family. Richard was a brilliant student in our grade school, progressing on to the most esteemed educational institutions. His studies and accomplishments were testimony to an extraordinary life. His work as a physician and professor of medicine manifest his daily contribution to the concept of Tikkun Olam, the Healing of the World. I wish his brother and sister, and family, sweet memories and the strength to carry on. Sincerely, Edward L. DuBrow, M.D. Phoenix, Arizona
