Message: I knew Donald for most of my life. We shared many things, having our Bar Mitzvahs at Congregation Beth Israel. His wife was so loving and supportive. She was always with him and will miss him always. Susan joins me in extending deepest sympathies to his entirely family. My father, Saul, knew him well. They were devoted to the law, especially Bankruptcy Law. His life was certainly “FOR A BLESSING!”

Message: Donald was one of the most important influences in my life. He often quoted Abe Ribicoff in saying that an education is a gift that lasts a lifetime. Through word and by example he gave me an education in how to practice law and how to live a life. I am reminded of his lessons (and I quote him) regularly. He will be missed, but his legacy lives on through the work that he did, through his writings, and most importantly through his family and the many others whom he mentored. Condolences to Sheila and family.

Message: My late father, Milton Widem, and Donald practiced law together at R&K for many years during the 1950 and 1960s. Donald, the late Jerry Lovesky an my Father were more then partners, they were very good friends. My Father had a great deal of respect for Donald. Donald was a master of the Uniform Commercial Code. As a young lawyer he would be dispatched to file a document with the Secretary of the State's Office. while walking over from the R&K offices, he would read the document and come back with a host of questions. He had a great intellect and a very warm heart. He will be sorely missed.
