Abraham Eisenberg
EISENBERG, Abraham Eisenberg, 95, of West Hartford, formerly of Valley Stream, NY, died peacefully at home on Monday, November 12, 2007. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Louis and Ida (Diamond) Eisenberg. He was a graduate of City College of New York, and was a US Army veteran of World War II. Before he retired, Abe was a food distributor on Long Island, NY, operating his own business, Snackettes, Inc. He leaves his wife, Doris (Chernin) Eisenberg; a son, Michael Eisenberg and his partner Frank Abdale of New York, NY; two daughters, Judy Eisenberg and her husband Bill Rubenstein of West Hartford, and Laura Livney and her husband Dani of Kibbutz Gezer, Israel; and four grandchildren, Lee Rubenstein, Hannah Rubenstein, Ayla Livney and Lia Livney. In keeping with Abes wishes, there will be a private service with interment in Beth Israel Cemetery, Avon. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the home of his daughter, Judy Eisenberg, 251 Penn Dr., West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Glaucoma Research Foundation, San Francisco, CA or to a charity of the donors choice.
