Jack J. London, 87 years of age, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Bloomfield, CT, died Saturday, April 28, 2018. Born in Burlington, VT, he was the son of the late David C. and Yetta (Gladstone) London. Jack was the owner of the Jack London Insurance Agency of Bloomfield, CT. He participated in a variety of community organizations including the Bloomfield Rotary Club and the Republican Town Committee of Bloomfield. He leaves his wife, Hilda (Slutsky) Grossman; his children, Robin Egdish and her husband Leonard of Estero, FL, Gregg London and his wife Diana of Chapin, South Carolina, Julie Scharr and her husband Michael of Canton, CT, and Dru London and his wife Odel of Boynton Beach, FL, and his grandchildren, Kimberly Baxa and her husband James, Kari Johnson and her husband Shawn, Jeffrey London and his wife Melissa, Amanda Scharr, Alison Scharr, and Matthew London, along with his 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn London, as well as his brother, Marshall London, and sister, Betty Drexler. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, 15 Wolcott Rd., East Granby with Rabbi Philip Lazowski officiating. Following the interment the family will receive relatives and friends at the home of Julie and Michael Scharr 160 Case St., Canton, CT. from 4:30-8:30 and receive visitors on Thursday from 4:30-8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of the donors' choice.
