ABRAHAM “AL” HYMAN, 98, of Adams Street, Hartford, died Tuesday, April 18th, 2006. Born in Hartford on January 25th, 1908, he was the son of the late Morris and Pauline (Monk) Hyman. He was a 1927 graduate of Hartford Public High School, and a 75-plus years member and volunteer of the YMCA in Hartford, where he made furniture and signs for the YMCA, continuing into his mid-90s. He was also an avid amateur photographer. Mr. Hyman was a member of the Beth David Synagogue, West Hartford. He leaves his nephews, Henry Hyman and his wife Jean, Marvin Hyman and his wife Sydna, and Barry Hyman and his wife Gail, as well as several grand nieces and grand nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 21st, at 10:00 AM in the Chevra Lomdei Meshnayes Cemetery, Garden St., Hartford with Rabbi Yitzchok Adler officiating. Friends may call at the home of his nephew Henry Hyman, 147 Tracy Drive, Vernon, Friday following the funeral.
