Albert “Wally” Lefkin, 79, of Prospect Avenue, West Hartford, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Samuel and Ida (Epstein) Lefkin. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Lefkin was a soda distributor for many years before becoming a home improvements salesman. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and the Wolkowysker Society. He leaves his beloved wife, Joan (Solomon) Lefkin; a daughter: Sharon L. Jacobson and her husband Alan of West Hartford; two sons: Attorney Peter A. Lefkin of Washington, D.C., and Michael G. Lefkin and his wife Susan of Guilford; five grandchildren: Sara Satterley and her husband Chris, Kate Jacobson, Adam Jacobson, Stephanie Lefkin and David Lefkin; and three sisters: Edith Block and her husband Arthur of Buffalo, NY, Lillian Slonim of Boca Raton, FL, and Marion Eisenberg and her husband Richard of Bloomfield. He also leaves a special cousin, Ida Cohen and her husband Samuel of West Hartford. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 30th at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in the Wolkowysker Society Cemetery, Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at the home of his daughter, 73 Richmond Lane, West Hartford Friday following the funeral through Sunday evening.
