GOLDEN, Annette (Greenberg) Golden, beloved wife of Edward Golden, of West Hartford entered into eternal rest on December 27, 2006. She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Morris and Alta (Waisman) Greenberg, and has lived here all of her life. Annette and her husband were founding members and first presidents of the former Mr. & Mrs. Club of the Knesseth Israel Synagogue (now United Synagogues of Greater Hartford). Annette was also a founding member of its Sisterhood and its first Treasurer. She was a life member of the Hebrew Home & Hospital Auxiliary, life member of Hadassah, life member of the Sisterhood of United Synagogues of Greater Hartford, member of the Jewish Childrens? Service Organization, and a contributor to many philanthropic organizations. Besides her beloved husband, Edward, she leaves three loving daughters, Sheila Golden-Baker and her husband Thomas of Gloucester, MA, Michele Stafford and her husband Justin of West Hartford, and Donna Golden and her husband Dr. Richard Belitsky of Guilford; and a cherished grandson, Noah Belitsky Golden, who brought so much joy into her life. Annette leaves many loving and devoted nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Lillian Greenberg of Tampa, FL; her sister and brother-in-law, Bluma and Roger Rustin of Springfield, MA; and her nephew Howard B. Greenberg of Houston, TX. In her later years after her husband?s retirement, Annette and Edward spent 19 winters in Boca Raton, FL. There they made deep and lasting friendships which always brought tremendous joy. Recently, she was blessed to celebrate her 65th anniversary with Edward surrounded by her family. Annette?s unceasingly generous and thoughtful spirit touched everyone she knew. She was completely and lovingly devoted to her family and her friends. The birth of her only grandchild Noah provided a unique joy. For 16 years, she shared in his life fully with tremendous pride, sheer delight and utter devotion. Their time together was always filled with laughter and love. The passing of Annette leaves an immeasurable loss; she will be eternally remembered in our hearts. The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the high level of care and loving concern shown to Annette in her final days by the Staff on Bliss 5 at Hartford Hospital. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Friday, December 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Edward Cohen and Rabbi David Avigdor officiating. Interment will follow in the United Synagogues of Greater Hartford Memorial Park, Wethersfield. A shiva will be observed Sunday through Tuesday at her home, 110 Lyman Rd., West Hartford.
