Obituary

Annette G. (Rosenthal) Marks, 75 years of age, of Delray Beach, FL and East Hartford, CT, passed away on (Sunday November 11, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Allan S. Marks for 56 years. Born in Hartford, CT she was the daughter of Pearl (Freedman) Rosenthal and the late Michael Rosenthal. Annette was a graduate of Weaver High School in Hartford and worked multiple jobs over her lifetime. She married the love of her life, Alan, and enjoyed life to the fullest spending time with family and friends. She loved to sing, dance, swim, and go to the Casino. Annete, “Bubbe” was an advocate, a friend and loved her family beyond measure..especially her grandchildren. After a courageous battle with cancer with the love and support of her family she succumbed to her illness. In addition to her husband and mother, Annette is survived by her son, Evan R. Marks and his wife, Jodi, of Simsbury, CT; her daughter, Cheri-Lyn Marks Cavanna and her husband, William, of Marlborough, CT; her brother Richard A. Rosenthal and his wife, Susan, of Trinity Florida; her brother-in-law David Marks and his wife Dr. Ann Sagalyn Marks, beloved grandchildren, Adam Marks, Rachel Marks, Branda Cavanna and Jacob Cavanna, her nieces Julie Hopkins and husband Joseph Hopkins, Nikki-Lynn Livingstone and husband Gil Livingstone, both of Florida, and Sarah Marks of New York as well as her grand nieces and nephews Matthew, Brooke, Paige and much loved extended family. In addition to her father, Annette was predeceased by her daughter, Darci Marks-Cavanna, and her grand-daughter Mikayla Rose Cavanna. Funeral services will take place on Wed, November 14 at 1:00 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT. Internment will follow in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, 80 Wolcott Road, East Granby, CT. Immediately following, the family will receive relatives and friends at 3 Firebrick Lane in Simsbury. Shiva the following days will be 7:00 at 45 Emily Road, Marlborough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing. Dear Alan and the Marks/Rosenthal families...sincerest condolences on 'Nettie's' passing. I remember her as a kid in Hartford and as one of my oldest friend's cousin(Ginny). Alan..There was never a time when you weren't her LOVE.How lucky you were to have each other thru thick and thin for almost 60 years.May you ,your mother-in-law,Pearl, all the kids and grandchildren celebrate a life well lived.
