We are sorry to have lost our dear friend. We have so many wonderful memories of all the time we spent with Bea and Sid. We miss them both.
Love Anne and Louis
Bea was born in Hartford, CT to the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Rogow) Schneider. After graduating Weaver High School and the Hartford Art School, Bea went on to become a fashion illustrator. Throughout Bea’s life, she continued to study art, learning to paint with acrylics and watercolors. She enjoyed music and singing, and she and Sid were involved in philanthropic organizations, such as The Jewish Federation, Israel Bonds and Easter Seals for many years. They traveled all over the world and led an active social life with many friends at Cliffside Country Club, Tumble Brook Country Club and The Boca Hotel and Club, playing golf, tennis and living a blessed life. Bea was well loved for her one-line comments and singing “The Autumn Leaves.” She truly enjoyed an audience and being the center of attention.
Beatrice leaves two sons, Gary Greenberg and his wife Joan of Bloomfield, CT; and Glen Greenberg and his wife Debra of Avon, CT and Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She also leaves her daughter Mimi Greenberg of Simsbury, CT and five beloved grandchildren, Adam Greenberg, Alex Greenberg, Elizabeth Greenberg, Lauren Greenberg, and Jeffrey Greenberg as well as many nieces and nephews. Her son, Todd Greenberg predecease Beatrice.
A special note of love and thanks goes out to Bea’s private caregivers: Sharon Milton, Luz Acevado, Yvonne Kerr and Marcia Peck who stayed with Bea until the end. While caring for her, they listened to stories, laughed at her jokes and comments; and watched numerous repeats of “The Golden Girls.” They kept Bea’s hair done and her nails polished, always ready for company. They never left her side and the Greenberg family cannot thank them enough for all of their care and love.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2016 in the Sanctuary of Congregation Beth Israel, 701 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, CT with Rabbi Michael Pincus officiating. Interment will follow in Beth Israel Cemetery, Jackson St. Ext., Avon, CT. Shiva will be observed following the interment through Monday evening at her home, 178 Orchard Road, West Hartford, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Todd S. Greenberg Charitable Foundation, 5 Old Windsor Rd., Bloomfield, CT 06002. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford, CT. Our deepest condolences to our friends, the Greenberg family… You mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother was a precious soul… Her greatest legacy is you, her children and grandchildren… Judging by the fruits of her labor – the wonderful people that she brought into this world and all the good that you do – she is truly a special woman!
May you be consoled from Above and may your family know many happy times going forward,

Mimi, Gary & Glen- I will always remember the happy times as teens as your mom kept Gary and I in check (if that was possible!). She always greeted me with a smile on her face and a glow about her, Ah, yes, I remember her love for singing. Enjoy and reminisce on the rich memories that only a mom can make possible.

Dear family, so sorry for the loss of your mom. She was a very nice lady and neighbor. We used to enjoy speaking with her when she pulled out of her driveway in her "hot red" audi. She always looked so nice every time we saw her. She will be missed.
