Dear Pam and Debbie - So sorry to hear about your dad's passing. I have many great memories of times spent at your childhood home where your parents were always so kind and easy to be around. It was apparent to me even as a young person how proud they were of you both and how much they loved their girls. May your dad's long and well lived life continue to be a blessing to you both.

I have so many fond memories of Bernie: on family trips to Africa, China, Japan and Greece, and at Bar Mitzvahs and birthdays. He was such a warm and wonderful man, and I feel as though I have lost a member of my family. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Debbie and Pam, and your families. May his memory be for a blessing.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. Your mother and father and my husband and I served on the board of the Emanuel Couples Club for
many years. We enjoyed their company socially. May fond memories ease your pain and time heal your sorrow....

Dear Friends,

Our sincerest condolences to you all on Bernie's passing. Have known him for many years, as well as his brother Mandell, as we shared a mutual aunt, Lillian Colton Donn. She was married to my father's kid brother, Harry.

Bernie was a pleasant, gentle man, whom we will always remember fondly. He was a regular attendee at the Jewish War Veterans Department Conventions, and we'll miss him. He was a member of JWV Post 51.

May he rest in peace.

Bernie was a wonderful person, and a very good friend and neighbor in Lyme. We miss him very much, but his kind and cheerful presence will live on always here - especially canoeing past his house on the Eight Mile river and imagining him sitting happily on the dock of an evening.
Thank you so much for letting me know, Debbie, I wish I had been able to attend the Service today and am sending you and all his family warmest wishes.

I was very sorry to hear such sad news - summers in Lyme without Bernie will never be quite the same, his kindness and concern for others were qualities much needed in today's world - he was a truly lovely man, and I will miss him.
With sympathy Deb and Pam,

Dear Deborah and Pamela, You have lost a great and loving father. He made many runs and my first marathon great fun. Our last visit at Seabury a little over a month ago was with a sick but happy Bernie. He sure loved telling us about his wonderful daughters and grandchildren. Keep up the good work.

Bernie was a great friend. We were running buddies at the Hartford YMCA for 30 years. He was the leader of our lunch time group of runners. He was always encouraging to those around him and was a consummate gentleman. My condolences to his family.
