JACOBSON, Bernice (Fierberg) Jacobson, 90, of West Hartford died Saturday, July 28, 2007. She was the widow of Abraham Jacobson. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Fannie (Matchton) Fierberg. Bernice and her late husband owned and operated Fierberg?s Costume Shop in Hartford for many years, a business founded by her late father. She was a member of Hadassah. She was a classical pianist and loved to play bridge. Bernice had many friends throughout her life. She leaves two sons, Mark S. Jacobson and his wife Pamela Gardner of Rocky Hill, and Joshua Jacobson; two sisters, Tybie Katz and Jane Field both of West Hartford; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, Wolcott Rd., East Granby. A memorial period will be observed Monday following the funeral at the home of her sister, Tybie Katz, 11 Barksdale Rd., West Hartford.
