Brian David Flaxman otherwise known as “Daddy-o” made his last mark on September 21, 2019. Brian was born in Hartford, CT on December 2nd, 1964 and was months shy of turning 55. The son of the late Dr. Eugene Flaxman and Sandra Mostow Flaxman passed away Saturday evening in his home in Simsbury, CT. He attended Watkinson High School and then graduated from Boston University as a Registered Nurse. Brian dedicated his life to the family business at Hughes Health and Rehab, for over 34 years. He is survived by Jody Flaxman, Samuel Louis Flaxman, Ross Harris Flaxman and his sisters Denise Wilbur and Sharon Flaxman. A man of few words, a big heart and a giant laugh, Brian loved spending time with his mother and sister in Florida, going to watch his boys robotics and sport games, play Thursday golf with his buddies and smoke backwoods until the round was over. Services will be held at Weinstein Mortuary at 640 Farmington Ave Hartford, CT tomorrow at 11:00am with burial at Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery in East Granby, CT. Following interment the family will receive visitors at Congregation Beth Israel 701 Farmington Ave. West Hartford, CT from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. The family will also receive visitors from 3:00 – 7:00pm on Thursday at Hartford/Farmington Marriott, 15 Farm Springs Rd Farmington, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory to Jewish Children’s Service Organization to the “Sandra, Eugene and Brian Flaxman Scholarship Fund”.
