Burt was a valued colleague and a good friend. He had the corniest jokes in the world but somehow I always looked forward to them.

I will miss you Burt.

I grew up with Burt and assisted him in ushering at CBI for years. He always had a smile on his face and a good word to say about everyone with whom he came in contact. My deepest sympathies to his family.

His life was certainly “FOR A BLESSING.”

From our days at Manchester Community College, I have warm memories of the jokes Burt would tell. He had a great sense of fun, and I enjoyed his company.

Tom and I are so sorry to receive the sad news about Burt. He and I worked together for more than 20 of his thirty years at Manchester-both in the Humanities Division. It was a wonderful experience because our faculty went all out to help our students and we worked so well as a team. Our thoughts are with Burt's loved ones at this time.

I met Burt, a fellow part-time teacher at Central in the mid-1990s. We discovered a common love/hate relationship with golf and although neither of us excelled at that sport, we developed a 20 year golf friendship that I will always treasure. From the days at Goodwin (before it fell into disrepair) to Buena Vista, I thoroughly enjoyed our rounds of golf, Burt's cynical sarcasm, his stories and jokes, and even those miracle putts (or chips) that we would make that would keep us returning weekly to the golf course. Burt was a kind, fun and generous friend and golf partner!
