So sorry to learn of Charlie's death. He was a sweet, generous man, in my experience. His gentle personality was a great contribution to my life. I'm sorry I did not know about the funeral service; I would have come.

Loving wishes to Joan and Debbie.

There was no sweeter man on this earth than Charlie Grossman. My fondest memories of my childhood are of spending summer's at the beach with Lakie and Charlie, Debbie and Joan. I recently watched the movie of their 50th Wedding Anniversary in which my father read a poem about having driven them on their honeymoon because they did not have a car. The friendship between my father and Charlie goes back to grammar school.

I hope that the 4 of our parents are somewhere in heaven reminiscing about their friendship and enjoying each other. That would make me happy.

My sincere condolences to all of the family. May Charlie's memory be for a blessing.

Lakey and Charlie were such good friends of my parents.
I believe that Charlie was best man at my mother
and father's wedding. Only a few years ago, Charlie called
and asked me to send him a picture of my father with
him. Of course, I had many so it was no problem.
I am so sorry for your loss! This is the end of a great
foursome!!!! Fondly, Linda

Mr. Grossman as I shall always call him was one of the kindest, gentlest people I have known. I first met him when I was a jr. high school student way back in the 50s when I was a classmate and friend of his daughter Joan (and friends we are to this day). Even in this sad time, a smile always come to me when I think about him and Mrs. Grossman. For high school graduation - 1960, the Grossman's gave me a hardback modern library edition of James Joyce's Ulysses. I am happy to say that I stuck to it, and on June 16, 2011, I finished the book!! Every time, I picked "that book" up over the years, Mr. and Mrs. Grossman's warmth washed over and bathed me a little. I consider myself lucky to know that my life has been touched by Mr. and Mrs. Grossman.
