David Solomon Corr, 89, of West Hartford died Monday, April 24, 2006 of natural causes at the Hebrew Home and Hospital. He was the husband of Ruth (Rudolf) Corr. Born in Ellington, he was the son of the late Jacob and Anna (Sharr) Corr. He was a member of the Agudas Achim Synagogue of West Hartford and Knesseth Israel Synagogue of Ellington. Besides his wife, he leaves a son Howard A. Corr of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Jeanne Becker and her husband Bob of Hoboken, NJ, and Dr. Ruth Gordon of Woodstock, GA; and three grandchildren: Laurie Swope and her husband Richard, Jeffrey Becker and his wife Karen, and Joseph Gordon and his wife Shannon; and three great grandchildren: Joshua David Swope, Riley Rose Becker, and Sarah Grace Swope. He was predeceased by his first wife Lillian (Spekter) Corr and by his sister Hilda Hager. The family expresses its sincere appreciation to the staff of the Hebrew Home and Hospital for their outstanding care. A graveside funeral service will be held TODAY (April 25, 2006) at 11:30 AM at the Ellington Jewish Cemetery, Main St., Ellington with Rabbi Shelley Kovar Becker officiating.
