This is a voice from the past. David and I were good friends in the Portland area in the late 50's and very early sixties. I can remember so well how proud he was of his 1960 white Ford Galaxy hardtop that his parents bought for him, I think for graduation. We would meet at his parents apartment on Montgomery Street on Munjoy Hill and go to Stephans Avenue Armory to the record hops together and then to the Forest City Diner where we might find someone to drag race with. I hope I'm not telling stories out of class. I have a lot of funny stories about our times together. We fell out of touch when he moved south and I had heard that he had a jewelry store in CT but never knew where. This is where one wishes he had stayed in touch with old pals, but as young people your life unfolds and you lose touch with good friends. My condolences go out to his family whom I've never met but still know the sad feelings they must have and the good memeroies they shared over the years with Dave.
