Dorie C. Bobrow, 68, born on March 17, 1954, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and close friends on Monday, March 6, 2023 after a courageous battle with a long illness. She leaves her daughters, Kimberly and Jason DiBella of West Hartford and Mindy and Jeremy Jason of Bloomfield; her granddaughter, Kayla DiBella and her grandson, Benjamin DiBella, who was her pride and joy and the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister Gerri and Larry Wile; brothers-in-law, Scott and Ellen Bobrow, Jeffrey and Donna Bobrow; brother, Marty and Donna Galin; and nieces and nephews: Brian (Nina) and Kenny (Wendy) Decker, Austin (Sarah) Bobrow, Eric (Amy) and Brian Federman, David (Ali) and Kevin (Kristin) Galin as well as aunts, cousins, great- nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends. Dorie was predeceased by her husband, Randy Bobrow, the love of her life, her parents, Gloria and Alfred Galin, her mother- and father-in-law, Sally and Nathan Bobrow and her brothers-in-law, Lewis and David Bobrow.
Dorie had a quick wit and a bubbly personality and made friends everywhere she went. Dorie loved being with family and friends, whether in West Hartford or at Old Colony Beach in Old Lyme, her summer home away from home. Her absolute greatest joy was being Ben’s #1 fan.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nartey, Dr. Pesce, Ann, Lauren, Tori, Matt, Tonny, Vanessa, Dottie, Sue, Carol, Autumn, Isabel and the rest of the staff at HFSC for their compassion and truly special care. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 11:00am in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford with Rabbi Jim Rosen officiating. Shiva will be observed at the Mandell Jewish Community Center at 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford immediately following.
