CHELL, Ervin Solomon Chell, 90, of Kirkland, WA, passed Friday December 19, 2008. Born in Vandergrift, PA, he was the son of the late Bessie and Max Chell. His four sisters; Bernice Chell, Cilvy Feinberg, Rose Reis and Blanche Prudoff predeceased him. He served in World War II in the South Pacific. He was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed.
Ervin married Ruth London in 1948, she passed in 1966. He married Eleanor Sinick in 1967 and resided in West Hartford CT until moving to Kirkland WA in 2003. He is survived by his son Michael D. Chell of Easthampton MA; his daughter Nina J. Israel of Roswell GA; his three step-children, Debra T. Sinick and husband David L. Ballenger of Kirkland, WA, Edward S. Sinick and his wife Nancy of Stamford, CT, Gary S. Sinick of Oakland , CA; 8 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family acknowledges and thanks the love, support and care for the last 5 years from Sheri Wald and Chris Elworth of Kirkland, WA.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 23, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington ave., Hartford, CT. Interment will follow in Beth El Temple Cemetery, Avon, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor?s choice.
