Esther Epstein Rosenbaum, 94, died at the Hebrew Home in West Hartford, on Friday, April 6, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband, Max W. Rosenbaum. She was born September 7, 1912, in Hartford, the daughter of the late Rose (Kramer) and Julius Epstein. She was a graduate of Hartford Public High School and the New Britain Normal School. She was a piano teacher in the greater Hartford area for many years. In addition, she was a Sunday school teacher at the Emanuel Synagogue. Known and loved for her kindness, patience, and gentle spirit, she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Sheldon and Phyllis Rosenbaum, Sandra and William Katz, and Regina and Michael Stein. She also leaves her sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian Lewis, Frances and Irving Waltman, and Alberta and Lester Swett. In addition, she leaves her grandchildren, Sharyn Rosenbaum, David Rosenbaum, Stacey Katz, James Katz and his wife Charlotte, Melissa (Katz) Hudson and her husband Andrew, Matthew Stein, and Robert Stein. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1pm on Sunday, April 8, at the Hartford City Lodge Cemetery, Tower Avenue, Hartford.
