Sitting on Mr and Mrs Gilmans bed in West Hartford
nd talking about decisions for Ames.I remember feeling so included and respected.

Eating yogurt at their kitchen table with Barb and Mrs Gilman.
Car accident as we turned into the Gimans driveway. Mrs Gilman was so caring.

Sha was a lovely lady - gracious and kind. I still recall our many conversations at the JCC about the Gallery, the theater, and the Arts in general. I am so sorry to read of her death. Sympathies to her family. Barbara and David Klau

Andy and I were privileged to have a long standing friendship with both Herb and Evelyn. We have fond memories of fun times together trolling galleries in Manhattan, visiting Artists at their Ct and NY studios. Their lives were filled with every form of Art and Culture.
Evelyn was a beautiful, sensitive, loving woman. Family was front and center of her life. She had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor. A role model for many.
We send our condolences to her family and her many friends.
With profound sadness, we send our love,
joyce and Andy

To the Gilman family: the legacy left by your family to the Greater Hartford Jewish community was profound. Your mother was steadfast in her commitment to the arts, to Jewish community and to excellence. She expected nothing less. We were fortunate for it and will miss her.

Evelyn was understated and had a fine eye for good pictorial art. A sweet lady with a kind heart.
