Florence Reva Kabacker Hirsch, born in Bloomington, Illinois, August 30, 1906 and a long-time resident of Chicago, passed away on November 23, 2007 in Avon, CT. She was the beloved wife of the late J. Arthur Hirsch and loving mother of Arthur Hirsch and his wife Dollie Milos and Jane Arnold and her husband Dan, fond grandmother of Claire and Michael Miller, David and Lori Hirsch, Kathryn and Zeke Leventhal-Arnold, Jonathan Hirsch, Andy Arnold and Arabel Elliott, Daniel and Debra Hirsch, Liz and Erik Bollt, Tom and Shoshana Arnold, devoted daughter of the late David and Sarah Tick Kabacker, dear sister of the late Jeanne Hennes, Helen Kanter, Bernard J. Kabacker, and William S. Kabacker, dear sister-in-law of Joan Sinsheimer, Anita Hirsch and the late Marjane Riskind and Alvin Hirsch, fond cousin of Frances Aronoff, proud great grandmother delighting in 14 great grandchildren, and loving aunt, great aunt and great great aunt of wonderfully caring nieces and nephews. She was blessed by wonderful caregivers, especially Barbara McGill, Celem Scott, Olive Mayer, Elease Thomas, Jeanne Eisenhaure, Jennifer LaBrie, and the staff at River Ridge. Florence Hirsch was a woman of great intelligence and beauty, the star stage performer at Hyde Park High School in Chicago, and a person of charm and grace all her life.
