Frances Perelman, formerly of West Hartford, passed away peacefully in Delray, Florida on Thursday, December 15, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Israel and Dorothy (Segal) Neiditch and was predeceased by her brothers Seymour (Tim) and Melvin. The Neiditchs’ were founding members of the Emanuel Synagogue where Frances proudly became the first Bat Mitzvah in 1930. Seventy-eight years later she witnessed the first of two Bar Mitzvahs of her two great-grandsons, Nicholas and Matthew. Her cherished world was that of her family. She leaves six children, Susan and Bob Zarchen of Miami, FL, Steve and Kathy Elovich of West Hartford, and Robert and Susan Elovich of Glastonbury. Six grandchildren survive her, Louis Zarchen and wife Janet of West Simsbury, John Zarchen of Marina Del Rey, CA, Sarah Elovich of San Francisco, CA, Peter and Kate Elovich of Glastonbury, and two adoring great-grandsons, Nicholas and Matthew Zarchen of Marina Del Rey, CA. After the passing of her husband, Lawrence, Frances became an enthusiastic contemporary artist. Her artwork adorns the homes of most of her family and many friends. She also became a sought after bridge partner and scrabble player. Having spent the majority of the past 30 years in Florida she made wonderful acquaintances of all ages from Miami northward.
Frances will be laid to rest in a private family burial service. Her family is grateful for all the loving care she received from Veronica Guevara and Viviana Gonzalez.Friends of her family may visit with them on Sunday from 2 pm – 5 pm at 791 Prospect Avenue, Apartment A-2, in West Hartford. In lieu of flowers it is suggested that donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
