Freeman Maltz, 79, of Deep Brook Harbor Road, Suffield, husband of Sandra (Vigder) Maltz, died Friday, July 6, 2007. Born in Milwaukee, WI, he was the son of the late William and Sarah (Goldberg) Maltz. Freeman was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He graduated from Ohio State University, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu, and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He was a member of the American Dental Society as well as the Connecticut and Massachusetts State Dental Associations. Coming from Akron, OH, he was a dentist in Springfield, MA for 23 years before retiring. He was also a member of Congregation Beth Israel, West Hartford. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters: Barbara Lynn Namerow and her husband Robert of West Hartford, and Janis Green and her husband Michael of Longmeadow, MA; four grandchildren: Taylar, Kendyl, Derek, and Blake; and a brother, Dr. Robert Maltz of Cincinnati, OH. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at 10:00 AM in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Jackson St., Avon, with Rabbi Michael Pincus officiating.
