Frieda Slobodien Michaelson of West Hartford, died peacefully at the Hebrew Home and Health Care, West Hartford, on Tuesday, September 6, 2005. She was 96. For almost sixty years, she worked in sales in the Greater Hartford area. Mrs. Michaelson was a life member of the Hebrew Academy of Greater Hartford and a Life Member of the Mogen David Red Cross. She was a member of the Beth Hillel Synagogue Sisterhood of Bloomfield, the Hebrew Home Auxiliary, the Cancer Research Center, the Jewish Community Center, and the Marilyn Michaelson Senior Center. She is survived by her beloved son, Paul Michaelson and his wife Janet Weiswasser Michaelson; grandchildren: Julie Michaelson, Marc and Tanya Rusanowsky Michaelson; and her brother, David Slobodien. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Thursday, September 8th, at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford Sick Benefit Association Cemetery, Garden St., Hartford. Friends may call at the home of Julie Michaelson, 35 Great Meadow, Avon following the interment.
