Gerald I. Swilling of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Bloomfield, died on September 17, 2006 in Boynton Beach. Born August 13, 1931 in Hartford, Jerry lived most of his life in the Hartford area. He graduated from Weaver High School in 1949 and the University of Connecticut in 1953. He proudly served in the United States Army at the end of the Korean War. After working for many years in real estate and then insurance, he retired to sunny Florida with his wife of 53 years. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife Estelle Swilling; daughter Paula (a.k.a. Morwen) Two-Feathers and husband Jimi; daughter Penny Field and husband Paul; son David Swilling and wife Joyce; and five grandchildren, Kaylin, Leah, Aaren, Ryan, and Jordan. He is also survived by his brother Marty and wife Nancy. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 20 in the Chapel of the Weinstein’s Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford with interment following in the Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, East Granby. The family will receive relatives and friends at 14 Holly Court, Cromwell on Wednesday evening, Thursday, and Friday until 3:00PM.
