ROSENBLATT, Gertrude (Jacobs) Rosenblatt,90, of Bloomfield, widow of David Rosenblatt died Friday, (July 11, 2008) Born in Wallingford she had lived in the Hartford area most of her life. She graduated from Weaver High School Class of 1935 and formerly worked in the lottery division for the State of Connecticut. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Glassman and her husband, Harvey of Bloomfield and Carole Jorgensen and her husband, Donald of Windsor; two grandsons, James Glassman and his wife, Susan of East Granby and Lee Glassman and his wife, Irene of West Hartford; five great grandchildren, Anna, Jeffrey, Adam, Matthew and Robert Glassman. She is also survived by two brothers, Abraham Jacobs of West Hartford and David Jacobs and his wife, Francis in Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rose Farber and Bertha Reskin and two brothers, Morris and Sam Jacobs. Funeral Services will be Monday, 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave. with burial in Beth Hillel Synagogue Cemetery, East Granby. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Carole Jorgensen, 60 Tiffany Road, Windsor, Monday following the funeral.
