My sincere condolences to the entire Aron family. May your treasured memories make your sadness easier to bear.

Hanna was a Holocaust survivor who ultimately survived by going into hiding under an assumed name. In 1964, she and Fred came to NY with their three children and her mother from Colombia, South America to make a new life for their family. They came without jobs or a place to live, taking a leap of faith in themselves and their new home country. She loved the adopted country that welcomed them and was fiercely patriotic. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Mack Trucks until she retired in 1986. Her main interests were her family, for whom she loved to cook and bake, the arts, reading, history, and her religious life.
Hanna was the loving mother of Michael Aron and his wife, Judy, of South Acworth, NH, Richard J. Aron and his husband Mark Kashden, of New York NY, Susan DeFronzo and her husband, Joseph, of Voorheesville, NY; her beloved grandchildren, Stefanie DeFronzo, Rachel Aron, David Aron and his partner Jon Branch, and Jeffrey Aron and his wife Rachel Wallen. She was predeceased by her brother Wolfgang (Zeev Dror) of Israel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Beth El Temple Cemetery, 51 Jackson St., Avon, CT. The family will receive relatives and friends at their respective homes. Richard brought his Mom to my apartment, I was having a cocktail party before a concert. She had her cocktail and was so charming. She fit right in as we all laughed and dished. After the concert we went for dinner and she talked about her life as a younge woman. I was so moved by this courageous woman and will always remember her with respect and admiration.
So sorry Richard you have lost an amazing mother and incredible woman.
My love to you your family and Mark. I would like to come by on Tuesday after work if I may.
