Harold Liebman, 87 years of age, of Exeter Road, Lebanon, died Sunday, November 28, 2010. Born in Willimantic, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Bella (Dworetsky) Liebman. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan, and received his Masters of Science Degree at Yale University. Harold was a poultry farmer, and member of the Central Connecticut Co-op, and active in Democratic politics in Lebanon, having served as State Representative and Chairman of the Town Planning and Zoning Commission for 45 years. He was a member of Congregation Ahavath Achim in Colchester. He leaves his wife, Florence (Moskowitz) Liebman; a son: Leon Liebman of Lebanon; a daughter: Susan Murray and her husband John of Lebanon; four grandchildren: Byron and Andrew Murray, and Adam and Spencer Liebman; and a sister: Ruth Katz of Boynton Beach, FL. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 12:00 Noon in the Sanctuary of Congregation Ahavath Achim, 84 Lebanon Ave., Colchester, with Rabbi Kenneth Alter officiating. Interment will follow in the Jewish Congregation of Lebanon Cemetery, Colchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Ahavath Achim.
