Harold J. Lowe, 95 years of age, of West Hartford, died Sunday, December 27, 2015 at home with his family and with his dear niece and nephew, Barbara Furman and Richard Levitan, by his side. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Charles and Fanny Lavovitch. Harold served as a 1st Lt. in the US Air Force during World War II. He graduated from Weaver High School and received a BS from the University of Connecticut. He was a salesman in electronics and insurance. He leaves his wife, Helen (Fegelman) Lowe; his sons, Aaron M. Lowe and his wife, Gina of Silver Spring, MD, and Dr. Charles D. Lowe and his wife, Qing Zhang of Zhuhai, China; his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Karintha and Samuel Lowe, and his sister, Marilyn Millstone, and her husband, Burris of Adventura, FL. He was predeceased by two sisters, Gladys and Doris Lowe.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in Beth El Temple Cemetery, Jackson St. Ext., Avon. Following the interment, the family will receive relatives and friends at his home, 4 Lyman Rd., West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of their choice in his memory.
