Dr. Harold D. Toubman, 85, of West Hartford, died Monday (May 5, 2008), at St. Francis Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lenore (Gorelick) Toubman. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Morris and Lena (Rosen) Toubman. Harold was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. He was a decorated US Army veteran of World War II serving in Europe, receiving two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. After the war he went into private practice in general dentistry in Newington, after which he served as the head of the dental clinic at The Institute for Living in Hartford. He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel of West Hartford. He leaves two sons, Richard R. Toubman and his wife Karen of Laguna Niguel, CA, and Steven M. Toubman and his wife Ellen of Medfield, MA; and four grandchildren, Stephanie, Rebecca, Daniel and Sarah Toubman. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Michael Pincus officiating.
