Harry Siegel, 92, of Newton St., Hartford, died Monday, November 16, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Jennie (Teicher) Siegel. He was a graduate of Ryder College and a US Army Veteran of World War II. Harry was the owner, with his brother, of Capitol Auto Parts in Plainville for over 50 years. He was also an avid badminton and tennis player. He leaves his brother: James Siegel and his wife Phyllis of West Hartford; three nephews: Robert Siegel and his wife Cindy, Dr. Jerome Siegel and his wife Susan, and Mark Siegel and his wife Jane; as well as several great nieces and great nephews. Special thanks to Peggy and Ollie for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Beth Israel Cemetery, Avon. A memorial period will be observed at the home of Mark and Jane Siegel, 57 Meadowview Court, Newington on Thursday, following the funeral until 4:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice.
