Howard

Weiner

Obituary

Howard D. Weiner, 66, of Marlborough, beloved husband of 44 years of Nancy Weiner, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, (August 1, 2013) surrounded by his family at Hartford Hospital. He was born on Dec. 28, 1946 in the Bronx, NY to the late Robert and Lillian Weiner. Howard leaves, to cherish his memory, daughter Jami Weiner (Jason Baumgartner) of Kent, CT and Rebecca Phillips of Hebron, CT. He was adored by granddaughters Blake and Emery Baumgartner and nephew Jacob Phillips. He is also survived by brother Gerald Weiner (Tina) of Woodbridge, CT and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Howard proudly worked as General Manager for Connecticut Propane and Petroleum in Marlborough, a job he excitedly arose for each morning up until his death. A true family man in every sense, Howie looked forward to each family event and loved spending time and vacationing with those closest to him. With no task to big, Howard was always willing and available to help anyone who asked.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Marlboro Cemetery, East Hampton Rd (Rt 66) Marlborough, CT with a reception to follow at Congregation Kol Haverim, 1079 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury CT. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in Howard’s name to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org). My heart is broken over the loss of my Uncle Howie...I had such vivid memories of many wonderful times together. Howie was always the "fun Uncle" as his love and devotion to all of his family made him truly special. Weather working with him at D&L, sleeping over his house, helping him out, or playing games with him, I will always remember such a wonderful, caring and loving man. His legacy lives on, as I am always sharing those great memories with my daughter... Rest in peace Howie, as you cared for and entertained me so many times, as now its time for you to be entertained in a special place in heaven... Our love is with everyone at this difficult time.
Love, Richard, Barry and Sydney

I'd only known Howie for a very short couple of years, but OH! the love he and his adored wife, Nancy shared was a thing of beauty. How we will miss hearing his special cell phone ring "Those Were the Days" in our office. He and Nancy spoke so often during each day. As I said, their love and devotion to each other was simply lovely and it would make your heart melt. I know that Howie, being the very good, kind and sweet man he was, leaves a wonderful legacy of beautiful memories to his beloved family. May the many, many wonderful moments, shared laughter (and there was always a lot of laughter whenever Howie was around! He possessed a great sense of humor.) and love sustain them through this very difficult time. Thank you for sharing this great man with us Nance. God Bless You. Much love to your entire family.

My sincerest condolences to the Weiner Family ! While I never personally met Howard, we did business over the phone, he was quite frankly the sweetest, nicest man to talk to over the phone on a business transaction ! And as any can attest to this doesn't always happen when talking business ! But I was so happy with Howards personality, being in the Hvac business myself, that I said to myself and my family, that someday I could see myself working for a great guy like Howard Weiner ! When talking to Howard, he just made you feel that you wanted to help him and be apart of anything he does ! A true leader, and gentleman, i am so very sorry for your loss and that he was taken way to young before he could touch the hearts of so many others ! my sincerest heartfelt condolences to the entire Weiner family ! Dear Nancy,

Carol and I just learned of Howie's passing. We will always remember you guys for putting up with us as first-time home buyers but you both did it right; we're still in our house you found for us and we still love it (17 years later). You were both very kind to us and I will always remember Howie's smile and gentle approach. Our hearts and prayers are with you.
