TABATSKY, Irene (Abramovitz) Tabatsky, 81, of Parker St., Manchester died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Cantor Israel Tabatsky. Born in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Israel and Lillian (Ungerleider) Abramovitz. Irene graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and did some graduate work. She taught home economics at Bolton High School for 20 years retiring in 1986. She was a member of Temple Beth Sholom of Manchester and a member of the Temple?s Sisterhood. She was also a member of Hadassah and the Association of Retired Teachers of CT. She leaves her son, David B. Tabatsky of New York, NY; her daughter, Maralyn Tabatsky and her husband Ken Schwer of San Francisco, CA; her three grandchildren, Daniel A. Schwer, Max Tabatsky, and Stella Tabatsky; and her brother, Charles Abramovitz and his wife Helen of Dayton, OH. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 12, 2007 at 10:30 am at Temple Beth Sholom, 400 East Middle Turnpike, Manchester with Rabbi Richard Plavin and Cantor Anita Schubert officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Beth Sholom Memorial Park, Manchester. Shiva will be observed at her home through Monday evening continuing in the immediate family?s respective communities.
