Irma

(Lubetkin)

Edelson

Obituary

It is with great sadness the family of Irma Edelson announces her passing on Thursday June 29, 2018, at the age of 87. Irma was a loving wife to her husband of 63 years, Herbert Edelson, cherished mother to Drs. Gary (Leora) Edelson, Mrs. Beth (Albert) Kranc, and Ms. Lisa Edelson, and proud grandmother to Daniel, Rina, Jacob, Elana and Morissa. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 2, 1931, she was the devoted daughter of the late William and Raylia Lubetkin.

Irma graduated from Weaver High school and worked as a bookkeeper. She was passionate about entertaining, cooking and travelling but, most of all, she loved being surrounded by her family and friends. She always had kind words to say, she supported her children in all that they did, and her love for others was evident in her attention to the details of the lives of those around her. She will be greatly missed.

Service and interment will take place at 2pm Friday June 29, 2018 at Beth Alom cemetery in New Britain, CT.
