Obituary

Jack D. Haber, 71, son of the late Sylvia and Benjamin Haber, passed away on Friday, (March 4, 2011.) He is survived by his beloved Gaye Hayden, his daughters, Jill Tuchmann and Pamela (Brad) Mondschein, his grandchildren, Joshua Gallant, Jordan Tuchmann, Alana and Rachel Mondschein, his brother Larry Haber and his sister Judith (Steve) Rubin. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford. Interment following at the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, E. Granby, CT. Memorial period will be observed at the home of his daughter, Jill, 8 Lower Heatherwood, Cromwell on Sunday following the interment through Monday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center, Hartford Hospital, P. O. Box 5037, Hartford, CT 06101-9960. Please accept my sympathies and condolences on the loss of your loved one. I have known Gaye for 27 years and she and Jack were happy together. Jack was such a nice person and he made my friend happy and they had a good life together. I will always treasure the memory of the day he took us out on the boat - it was a wonderful and happy day.
