Obituary

James (Jim) Murray, 58, son of the late Francis and Gloria, died unexpectedly on July 5, 2014. He grew up in Wallingford, graduating from Lyman Hall in 1973. He worked for Canberra Industries and then Avery Dennison, where he worked for 25 years. He was an avid fan of baseball and the New York Yankees. He is survived by his wife Lori (Korduner) and his two children, Daniel Murray and his wife Elizabeth of West Hartford, and Brandon Murray of Storrs; his brother Dennis and Nancy Murray of Meriden; his sister Carol Ann and Anthony Pires of Wallingford. He also leaves his mother-in-law Sylvia Korduner, his sister-in-law Anita Fischer, and his brother-in-law Jack and Sherri Korduner. He will be missed by many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and his friends and colleagues. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Thomas. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at his home, 7 Sequin Road, West Hartford, and his family will receive visitors until 8 p.m. Donations may be made to the Gloria A.
