Obituary

Joseph Skal, 63, of Kimberly Rd., Newington died Thursday, February 14, 2008 at New Britain General Hospital. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Arthur and Erma (Brown) Skal. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He leaves his wife, Carol (Segal) Skal; a son, Ira Skal of Newington; a daughter, Robbin Antonnuci and her husband Dennis of Glastonbury; a brother, David Skal of East Hartford; three sisters, Maurine Arsenault of Berlin, Deborah Schnur of Clinton, and Sharon Chapman of Branford; and three grandchildren, Zachary, Ariel and Jack. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with interment in the Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, East Granby. A memorial period will be observed Sunday following the funeral at the home of his daughter, 64 Broad Moor, Glastonbury. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor?s choice.
