Judy (Berger) Blatt, 64 years of age, of West Hartford, died Thursday, October 25, 2012. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Murray and Ann (Akst) Berger.
A counseling psychologist in private practice for many years, she held undergraduate and graduate degrees from Columbia University, the Jewish Theological Seminary, and Saint Joseph College.
She was a member of the Emanuel Synagogue of West Hartford for over thirty years.
She leaves behind her husband, Dr. Kenneth S. Blatt; her sons, Ari J. Blatt and his wife Solene Thomas-Blatt of Charlottesville, VA, and Etan J. Blatt of Long Beach, NY; her daughters, Jessica S. Agovino and her husband Adam of Stamford, and Talya R. Blatt of New York, NY; and two grandsons, Ryan Agovino and Benjamin Blatt. She was predeceased by her brother Dirk Berger, who died on October 8, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, October 28 in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi David J. Small officiating. Interment will follow in the Emanuel Synagogue Cemetery, Wethersfield. A memorial period will be observed at her home at 15 Adams Lane, West Hartford, directly following the interment through Wednesday.
