Jules Fialkoff, 85, of West Hartford, CT and Deerfield Beach, FL, born in Queens, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 20, 2017. He was the beloved husband of the late June (Brenner) Fialkoff. He is predeceased by his parents, the late Murray and Anna Fialkoff, and sister Barbara Blacksberg. Jules leaves his four children, Brian Fialkoff of West Hartford; Kim and Xavier Vorilhon of Simsbury; Glenn and Cheryl Fialkoff of South Windsor, and Francine and Peter Armstrong of Simsbury. Jules’s passion for flying was surpassed only by his love of his 11 grandchildren; Valerie and Spencer Fialkoff, William, Alexandre and Nicolas Vorilhon, Alana, Michael and Jacob Fialkoff, and Chelsea, Benjamin, and Cameron Armstrong. A Korean War, era Naval veteran, served on the USS Salem. He attended Boston University and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Marquette University in Physical Education. Jules had a prosperous career in sales, and dedicated his free time to his children and grandchildren, travel, and hobbies. Realizing a childhood dream, he achieved his pilot’s license at 50. A member of the Civil Air Patrol, and a lover of the Boston Red Sox and all pro Boston sports, Jules inspired his grandchildren to share that same passion.
Funeral services will be held at Weinstein Mortuary on Friday, January 27th, at 11am.
