Abrams

Obituary

Lee S. Abrams, garlic lover, of W. Hartford, passed away on October 11 at age 84. Adoring husband of Joyce (nee Marcus Fischbein) for 36 years, he is survived by his children Jill Abrams, Jan Diamond and husband Nathan, Lori Abrams and husband Andy Lackow, and Tod Fischbein; grandchildren Elizabeth and Charles Diamond, Morgan and Hope Salvan, Teddy Lavon and Juliette Lackow, and Alexandra and Benjamin Fischbein; and brother Robert Abrams and wife Estelle. Born in Bridgeport, he is a UCONN alumnus and for 34 years operated Conn. Medical Lab in Bristol.

The funeral, with military honors, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on October14 at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, W. Hartford. The family will observe shiva at 22 Brighton Rd., W. Hartford immediately following interment and resume October16-20 in NYC and Maplewood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Americares.org, ORT.org, or TheValerieFund.org.

I just found out about Lee's passing and I remember him always with a smile on his face and a loving heart for all of you. I'm sure he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and sympathies go out to you at this tough time.
