EPSTEIN, Lewis W. Epstein, 79, of Bloomfield died on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Isidore and Pauline (Hersh) Epstein. Lewis served in the US Army of Occupation after World War II. Lewis was a Special Deputy Sheriff in the Hartford County Court System. He also spent many years managing Turnpike Package Store in Windsor Locks. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans, and he did volunteer work for the Bloomfield Democratic committee. He was predeceased by his brother, Morton Epstein, and by his two sisters, Jewel Kaplan and Carol Epstein. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 10:45 am at the Hartford City Lodge Cemetery, Tower Ave., Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday following the funeral at the home of Sharon and Alan Jacobson, 73 Richmond Lane, West Hartford.
