American poet Robert Frost is often quoted, "... good fences make good neighbors." Thank you for being our "good neighbor" for almost 22 years. We hope you regarded us the same way. Our sincere condolences to Paula and all your beautiful family.

With great sadness we heard of the passing of Louis. During his earlier years my family(Meisters) was closely associated with him. Starting on Burnham Street(where I became engaged) to Pioneer Drive. We also paralleled several other activities- UConn, Phi Epseilon Phi,Faternity, the Masons and the Shriners Although we were physically unable to attend the services and shiva house our fond memories and thoughts are with you and your family.

Lewis Steinberg was the living recipe for a smile---no matter how bad a day you were having. That is the effect he had on me in California or Connecticut when I'd encounter him periodically over the last 30 years, and that is exactly how I will remember him.

Lew was a highly qualified professional - he knew his trade, he knew his business, and his word was as good as any contract. And, in addition to all that, he was a nice guy with a happy smile. I'll miss him

Dear Paula, it is with very heavy heart that I write this note. You do not know me, I was the next door kid that grew up with Lewie and Richie. We played together in our backyards, and were really close friends as we were growing up on Palm Street in the north end of Hartford.

I remember Lewie’s father Eugene. He was a wonderful man who really taught me a lot about life. He had a great sense of humor and was always there with words of wisdom.

I am so sorry to hear of Lewis’s passing. Please accept my sincere condolences and know that I am thinking fondly of the many times we spent together getting into mischief.
