Lillian (Brown) Yules, 100 years old, beloved wife of the late Attorney Herman Yules died February 19, 2012. A long time resident of Manchester, CT and more recently Delray Beach, FL. Mrs. Yules was born in New York City, NY, the daughter of the late Cale Brown and Pauline Kush. She leaves two sons, Dr. Richard B. Yules and his wife, Lila, of Boca Raton, FL, and Atty. Robert B. Yules and his wife, Susan, of Westport, CT. She also leaves four grand-children, Atty. Branch R. Yules and his wife, Tina, of Ashland, MA, Dr. Dawn M. Thornton, of Potomac, MD, Dr. Brooke M. James and her husband, Christopher, of Parker, CO and Rachel L. Yules of Westport, CT. as well as seven great grand-children.
Mrs. Yules was a retired professional photographer who had studios in numerous loci in Hartford, CT. She had attended both Pratt University and Hartford College. She was an active volunteer in her community serving as President of the Manchester Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and as a scout leader. A life-long student, avid reader, and amateur artist and interior decorator, Lillian was above all a beloved wife, mother, grand-mother, and great grand-mother, following her creed of “family first”.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Temple Beth Sholom Memorial Park, (behind East Cemetery), Autumn Street, Manchester, CT 06040.
