The smiles and laughter and caring heart are what I remember most. Lois's dedication to her family and making her house a home for Herbert and the children was obvious and memorable even as she built a thriving business.

The world has clearly lost a bright light who warmed so many people's lives in so very many ways.

Lois'es untimely passing hit me like the proverbial ton of bricks. I was saddened by this news and I share in your sorrow, knowing that my in-laws and Lois'es parents were already friends years ago in Winsted. My heartfelt condolences to you, Herb, and your family. Lois had the best laugh and warmest smile of anyone we have known. For more than 20 years we shared laughs, good meals and bad, and a spirit of camaraderie and friendship as members of The Gourmet Club. She was a can do person who was able to juggle being a wife to her loving husband, Herb, her adoring children, Ben, Amy, and Brett, and her many admiring friends, while running Friendship Tours.

Ben, Brett, Amy, Dad and families: My heart aches along with the 1000s of others and yours at this sad and difficult time. Hi-Lo was a unique blessing to all of us who were fortunate enough to know and admire her. Her professionalism and persona during all my many business arrangements with her remain unmatched. She ALWAYS exemplified FUN and 'family' with each new adventure planned for myself and the Pratt & Whitney retirees over many years. It is with appreciation and gratefulness of your sharing this remarkable gift of God with myself and many others. Lois brought much sunshine and 'friendship' into each occasion along with hubby, Amy, Ben and Brett. We all grew to love and respect each of you and your sincere efforts helping Hi-Lo whom unfailingly always acknowledged each of you as well as her staff and vendors used. Having served as Educational Director at Beth El Temple for many years, during which time the Isaacson children attended the Religious School, I was privileged to have had many conversations with Lois. She was a wonderful, caring, person and extremely interested in her children's Jewish education.

A deep sadness hit me when I heard this news this morning. My father passed the obituary on to me and later I saw it online. I think about all the good stuff your mom did. An entrepreneur from the early days, a working woman, a loving mom, someone who looked out for all the kids in the neighborhood. She smiled a lot as I remember it. I can hear her voice. I'll be thinking of you all this week. I'm reminded by this sad news to live life well. Norah and I pass along our condolences. Our best to all of you, your families, and your father.

Lois has brought us many happy memories and many travel blessings. She continues to be an "angel" for all of us.

I am saddened to learn of Lois' passing. What great fun it was to go on one of Lois' trips allowing us to visit places we never would have seen had it not been for her vast list of contacts. On a special occasion, my husband and I traveled to California and it was Lois' suggestions of places to see that made our trip one that we will never forget.
My sincere sympathy to her husband and children but know that you were truly blessed to call Lois wife, mother and grandmother. To all of us, she was a friend.

To Herb and Ben and families......Yea Lord, have compassion on the children of thy creation and support them in their times of sadness.

Lois was one of a kind and so respected in the hospitality industry with a servitude attitude towards her partners and customers. As one of your partners, you will be sorely missed Lois. I met Lois thru CHS trips. She was a wonderful woman and made you feel like a good friend--always remembering your name. I will miss her. Rest in peace Hi-Lo.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Lois's passing.. I have known Lois since I was a teenager. She was friends with my Mom when they graduated from travel school! What a wonderful woman she was... My mother considered her a very good friend! I will miss her terribly and wish only the very best to her children, grandchildren and husband. She was an amazing woman but I'm sure you all know that already! Thank you Lois for giving me this wonderful opportunity of being a tour guide for bus trips! I can't tell you how many people think I'm the luckiest person alive for having the job that I have and it’s all because of you!

Dear Herb,Brett,Ben,Amy and families, I am so sorry to hear about your lost of such a fantastic person. I have enjoyed working for Lois for over 16 years and she has taught me so much. I never have met a more positive and outgoing person as her. Lois has also given me the opportunity to see the world and meet many wonderful people along the way. There is not many people who are as lucky as I am to follow in somewhat her foot steps and carry on the name Friendship Tour. I would strongly have to say she was the best mentor I ever had. I will miss her terribly. Now she will have the chance to continue to bring wonderful smiles to everyone in her new home in heaven

I will always remember Hi-Lo's wonderful smile. She is an amazing lady and will be greatly missed by many. My love to her family & friends, she is a strong spirit & will be with you always.
