Marjorie Levitin Wilder, 69, passed away on August 6, 2013. Her life was filled with an abundance of happiness and blessings. She enjoyed her career in the law, and worked at her various positions with enthusiasm and dedication. However, her primary love in life was her family. She leaves behind her beloved husband and best friend, Michael S. Wilder, with whom she produced two wonderful children, Kathryn Wilder Guarini and Amanda Green Wilder. Her children provided her with so much happiness and love, and she was proud of their accomplishments as adults. She also felt blessed with her children’s spouses, Michael John Guarini and Camille Green Wilder, who have been so kind and loving to her. Her grandchildren, Emma Grace Guarini, Matthew Wilder Guarini, Tyler Levi Guarini, and Elan Green Wilder brought her immeasurable joy, which no words can adequately describe. She also leaves behind her dear mother, Lois Goldberg Levitin, her caring mother-in-law, Anne Wilder Castroll, her brother, Alan Levitin, her sister-in-law, Gail Alice Wilder, and her aunt, Selma Swirsky, as well as many dear cousins. She was also the daughter of the late and loving Harry Levitin. Marjorie graduated magna cum laude from Smith College, received an M.A. degree in economics from Tufts University, and earned her JD degree with high honors from UCONN Law School. She had a varied and challenging career, working pre-law school at the Hartford Insurance Group, as an attorney teaching at the University of Connecticut School of Law, then working as the attorney for the State Board of Education, as corporation counsel for her beloved Town of West Hartford, and, finally, as a member of the law firm of Pullman & Comley, LLC. She valued the challenges her work provided and the many friends and wonderful colleagues she met along the way.
