Marvin Ginsburg, of New Britain, Ct. passed away peacefully in his home the morning of October 28th, 2015. Marvin is survived by his children, Laurence Steven Ginsburg of New Britain,Barry Alan Ginsburg of New Britain, and Hilary Ginsburg of Mckinney,Texas. Marvin also had two granddaughters, Sara Rebecca Noonan of Mckinney,Texas and Megan Kathleen Noonan of Mckinney, Texas. His wife, Nancy, passed away on 11/2/1996. Marvin was in the record business from 1948 – 1989. He owned his own distributorship in 1975 – 1989, Aquarius Distributors of New England. Marvin was also a musician and played in many local bands from the 1940’s to the early 50’s. He loved playing his saxophone and clarinet at home to the tunes of the Big Band era on many Saturday nights. Marvin worked at Bobs Discount Furniture from 1993 -2013. He was an excellent sales man and enjoyed working with the public. His sense of business was paramount to the success that he achieved during his life. Marvin was a dedicated family man and his family always came first. He was selfless and no challenge was ever too great. His tenacity to keep active and remain optimistic was contagious. He was also a computer “nerd” at the age of 89 and quite the texter. No challenge was ever too great for Marvin. Marvin was a great friend to many. His kindness and genuine interest in others was limitless. Words can not express how much we will miss him. He was our rock and best friend. He believed in his children and was so very proud of his granddaughters.
Marvin was laid to rest on Friday, October, 30th, 2015.
