Mary Heller, 82, of Branford St., Hartford, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Born in Colchester, she was the daughter of the late Isidore and Rose (Epstein) Heller. Mary was an Administrator for the Department of Transportation, State of Connecticut. A member of the Blue Hills Civic Association, she was also an aid to helpless animals and was a benefactor and contributor to many animal organizations. She leaves two brothers: David Heller of Longmeadow, MA and Seymour Heller of Lisbon, CT; eight nieces, one nephew, 13 great nieces and great nephews, and two great great nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers: Morris and Jack Heller, and two sisters: Tessie Heller and Shirley Haber. A graveside funeral service will be held TODAY, WEDNESDAY, March 5, 2008 at 12:00 Noon in the Colchester Jewish Aid Cemetery, Colchester, with Rabbi Edward Cohen officiating. A memorial period will be observed today following the funeral at the home of Robbin and Donald Golden, 52 Parsons Dr., West Hartford.
