Dear Abby and Heidi,
I am so sorry to read of your mom's passing. I was your neighbor on Hughes Street in Hartford, you all lived across the street, back in the 1960s. We were young parents always trying to be a good parent. Your dad was a terrific guy, but Maxine was the kindness and thoughtful friend I could ever have. Over all these years, sometimes I would think of her, don't know why, but I did.
And she was so proud of her sister living in New York, Elaine, and I extend to her my condolences. I am extending condolences on behalf of my children, Keith and Linda, too.
Remember all good things, and I know your mom is up in the heavens, watching over you.
