Morris Goodman, a loving husband of Sarah Buchman Goodman, of 40 Brainard Rd. West Hartford, died September 5 at home. Mr. Goodman graduated Weaver High School and New York University Stern School of Business. Mr. Goodman was CEO of Hartford Plumbing Supply Company founded by his father. He was a longtime member of the American Supply Association. He and his wife were founding members of Beth El Temple in West Hartford. He was a respected and trusted business man and loving, generous husband and father. At 103, the world lost a gentle man with a big heart. He leaves a son Henry C. Goodman of East Amherst, NY, three daughters, Dr. Robin Goodman of New York, NY, Anne Ghory-Goodman and her husband Dr. Ward Ghory of Rochester, NY and Orleans MA, Cathy Goodman Barnhorst and her husband Stephen Barnhorst of Kittery Maine, and five grandchildren Christopher Barnhorst and his wife Marla Barnhorst, Timothy Barnhorst and his wife Lindsey Barnhorst, Joseph Ghory, and his wife Amanda Ghory, Adam Ghory and Michael Ghory, and six great grandchildren Madeline Barnhorst, Chase Barnhorst, Morgan Barnhorst, Brooklyn Barnhorst, Morris Barnhorst, and Edward Ghory. And he leaves his extraordinary caregiver Gwen. He was predeceased by his wife Sarah, his three brothers Henry, Herman, and Saul. He served as an Army Master Sargent in World War II. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the chapel of Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT.
