Morris Toyen, 94, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Avon and Canton, died Friday, April 20, 2007 at Delray Medical Center, Delray Beach, FL. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Samuel and Sophie (Schwartz) Toyen. He was a foreman for Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies before he retired. He leaves his wife, Dora (Finkelstein) Toyen; a son, Martin Toyen and his wife Dorine of Avon; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Toyen of Newington; four grandchildren, Heather Weiss and her husband Jeffrey, Steven Toyen, Heidi Stevens and her husband James, and Pamela Toyen; and two great-grandchildren, Brian and David Stevens. He was pre-deceased by a son, Barnet Toyen, and by a granddaughter, Amy Toyen. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Interment will follow in the Hebrew Merchants Protective Association Cemetery, Garden St., Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at the home of his son, 39 Rosewood Rd., Avon, Sunday following the funeral through Tuesday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to: Amy E.
